MITS Singapore

Tennis is growing tremendously in Asia, especially with the rise of top Asian players like Li Na and Zheng Jie from China. For both tennis players and tennis fans, the numbers have been growing and have never looked back since.

MITS has established its Asian hub in Singapore to serve the growing international and local demand. There is no better time than now to do that – the inaugural Youth Olympic Games was just successfully organised in August 2010, more international sporting events like the Formula One and the Volvo Ocean Race are being staged in Singapore, and the Singapore Government has committed to grow her sporting culture.

Head Coach Michael Baroch is no stranger to Singapore and Asia. Michael and his team have been coming to Singapore since the mid 2000s when he realised that the demand for the MITS training has been picking up. Whether the elite players are from China, India, Thailand, or any other Asian country, they have been approaching MITS for coaching and requested for their training to be in Singapore due to her central geographical location, good sports facilities and overall high standard of living & ease of adapting to Singapore’s open culture. Of course, the Singaporean elite players naturally want Michael and his team in Singapore all the time!

The MITS Asian hub @ the National University of Singapore (NUS) is a facility for the local and international tennis players, at both the elite and recreational level.  The Asian hub is a node for international elite players to brush up their game, as well as sports tourists who are either here for sports events, or just quality MITS tennis. For locals, it is the best place to go to for reliable and fun tennis lessons.
