Mr. Takla was born in Alexandria and educated in Melbourne where he completed his physiotherapy training at The University of Melbourne in 1997.
After completing 12 months of clinical practice, successful entry was gained into the University of Melbourne Masters of Physiotherapy (Manipulative Therapy) program. The clinical masters program focused on advanced clinical reasoning, problem based learning and manipulative techniques.
In 2007, he gained successful recognition as a sports physiotherapist by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Regularly invited speaker to local and international meetings on the physiotherapy following hip arthroscopy and management of hip disorders.
Physiotherapy posts Head Physiotherapists for the Victorian Men’s Gymnastics program – 1997 – 2007, World Championships team 2003 & 2005, Australian Open – Tennis Sports Physiotherapist 2003 to 2015.
Over the past 5 years, Amir has developed rehabilitation protocols for the assessment and treatment for Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) and is currently involved in post-graduate research at The University of Melbourne and Bond University.
